George Kerr, the iconic singer-songwriter- producer, active on the New York/New Jersey soul music scene since, the late 1960s - enlisted his exceptionally talented daughter Tracy Kerr, along with the gifted but woefully under-recorded Shadee Mahdi, for a fine vocal duet. Resulting in the rare 1980 single "Who Are You" b/w "Check Out My Mind," originally released on the short-lived Indy 5 Records label. The A side features a captivating soul ballad that beautifully showcases the strengths of both vocalists to great effect. The B side is a mid-tempo groover punctuated with a funky bass-line and peck horns - Tracy sings the first half of the song, Madhi enters to sing the second half. Tracy comes back towards the end to take the song to it's conclusion.
